This week, your hand size is a measure of your corruption. As you draw and play cards, you traverse the Seven Deadly Sins. You must manage your own vices: shed your hand to find the desperate power of Pride and Envy, or hoard your secrets to revel in the excesses of Gluttony and Lust.
📜 The Rules 📜
The Sin Count: At any given moment, the exact number of cards in your hand determines your active effect.
Dynamic Corruption: This effect changes immediately whenever a card enters or leaves your hand.
The Seven Aspects:
PRIDE (1 Card)
Effect: At the end of your turn, draw 3 cards.
ENVY (2 Cards)
Effect: All enemy minions suffer -3 Attack.
WRATH (3 Cards)
Effect: All friendly minions gain +3 Attack.
SLOTH (4 Cards)
Effect: All friendly minions gain +3 Defense.
GREED (5 Cards)
Effect: Your cards in all zones cost 3 less Lifeforce. (Hand, Deck, Field, Void and Graveyard)
GLUTTONY (6 Cards)
Effect: At the start of your turn, gain 5 additional Lifeforce (for a total of 10).
LUST (7 Cards)
Effect: Once during your turn, when you play a Minion from your hand, you may summon a different minion from your deck or graveyard with a cost less than or equal to half the printed Lifeforce cost of the played minion (rounded down).
Mastering Your Vices
The goal is to navigate your vices at the right time; each Sin has a specific tactical use that can turn the tide of battle.
Establish Dominance (Lust & Greed): Lust (7) is vital for establishing board presence quickly, turning one card into two. However, Greed (5) offers a deceptive power: because it reduces costs in in any zone, it breaks summoning rules. A card like Dreadnaught Summoner (which summons a minion costing 4 or less) can now pull a minion with a printed cost of 7, because Greed reduces it to 4 inside your deck!,
The Defensive Wall (Sloth): When you need to stave off an aggressive enemy, aim for Sloth (4). The +3 Defense turns even your weakest minions into a sturdy defensive wall that can absorb multiple hits.,
The Finisher (Wrath): Wrath (3) is your win condition. If timed correctly, the +3 Attack buff can turn a modest board into a game-ending lethal swing.,
Neutralize the Threat (Envy): Envy (2) is your answer to an overwhelming enemy board. Whether they have a single “tall” threat or a “wide” swarm, the -3 Attack debuff cripples their offensive power, allowing you to survive a heavy offensive or trade without losing your own minions.,
Resource Management (Gluttony & Pride): Don’t ignore the extremes. Gluttony (6) is the best way to stock up Lifeforce for a heavy subsequent turn, while Pride (1) is the ultimate reset button to refresh your hand if you are running out of options.,
The Vital Tool (Sacrifice Card): The Sacrifice Card ability is the key to navigating this ruleset. It allows you to manually adjust your Sin count at will. Crucially, you can use it on your opponent’s turn. If you know you are about to take a massive hit, sacrifice cards to drop down to Envy (2) or Sloth (4) to survive the blow.
